All Samsung Galaxy Models of 2020: From Z Fold 2 to Galaxy S20 FE

Flagship Series ()

This series replaced the Galaxy S10 line and

Galaxy S20 Series

introduced a new naming convention, jumping from S10 to S20 to align with the year 2020.

  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G: The new top-of-the-line "Ultra" model, featuring a massive 6.9-inch display, 108MP main camera, a periscope-style telephoto lens with 100x "Space Zoom," and a 5000mAh battery.

  • Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G: The larger premium model with a 6.7-inch display, a versatile triple camera system, and a larger battery than the standard S20.

  • Samsung Galaxy S20 5G: The standard flagship model with a 6.2-inch display and high-end specs in a more compact form factor.

  • Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (Fan Edition): Released later in the year (Sept 2020), this model offered the core flagship experience (like the high-quality 120Hz display and powerful processor) at a more affordable price by using a plastic back and a different camera setup. (A 4G LTE version with a Snapdragon 865 was also available in some regions).

Note Series (Galaxy Note 20 Series)

The last major Note series to feature a truly distinct design from the S series before the two lines began to merge.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G: The premium productivity powerhouse with a 6.9-inch curved display, Gorilla Glass Victus, a 108MP camera, a laser autofocus sensor, and a sleek glass and metal design.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G: A more affordable Note option that surprisingly used a polyplastic (plastic) back instead of glass and had a flat display, which was a point of criticism for its price.

Foldable Series

Samsung continued to innovate in the foldable market with two distinct form factors.

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G: The second generation of the book-style foldable, featuring a much-improved 7.6-inch main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a larger 6.2-inch cover display. It addressed many of the shortcomings of the original Fold.

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip: A new clamshell-style foldable that focused on compactness and nostalgia. It folded vertically into a small square and featured a unique hinge that could hold the phone at various angles ("Flex Mode").

Mid-Range Series (Galaxy A Series)

Samsung's hugely popular A-Series was expanded and refreshed, offering strong features at competitive prices. This list includes the most notable 2020 releases.

  • Galaxy A71 5G & 4G: A premium mid-ranger with a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, quad cameras, and a sleek design. The 5G version featured a different chipset.

  • Galaxy A51 5G & 4G: One of the best-selling phones globally in 2020. It offered a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a quad-camera setup with a macro lens.

  • Galaxy A21: A budget-friendly option with a large display and a quad-camera array.

  • Galaxy A11: An entry-level model focusing on core smartphone features with a modern hole-punch display.

  • Galaxy A01: A very basic, affordable entry-point into the Samsung ecosystem.

  • Galaxy A31: Positioned between the A21 and A51, featuring a large Super AMOLED display and a large battery.

  • Galaxy A Quantum: A variant of the A71 5G released in South Korea that featured a quantum random number generator (QRNG) chipset for enhanced security.

Budget-Friendly Series (Galaxy M Series)

Primarily sold in online markets like India, these phones focused on massive batteries and value.

  • Galaxy M31: Famous for its enormous 6000mAh battery and a fantastic Super AMOLED display.

  • Galaxy M21: Similar to the M31 but with slightly toned-down specs, still featuring a large battery and AMOLED display.

  • Galaxy M11 & M01: Entry-level models with large displays and batteries for basic tasks.
